Learn more about the youth group known as “the PLACE” by coming to the PFLAG Modesto meeting

Emanuel Lutheran Church, 324 College Ave., Modesto
The PLACE is a youth group whose meetings are held at the College Avenue Congregational Church in Modesto. Its aim is to provide leadership training for youth as well as empowerment through education. Edward and Elizabeth Plata, founders and moderators of this group, have been working with Dr. Caitlin Ryan of San Francisco State University to produce a video that shows the importance of family acceptance for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning youth.
